Vocal Lines 20 års jubilæum

D. 29. januar 2011 havde Vocal Line 20 års jubilæum. Jeg glædede mig ligeså meget til at fejre Vocal Line, som til en børnefødselsdag og havde det som om det var mig det blev 20 år - selvom jeg ”kun” har sunget med i de 16 af dem! Forberedelserne var startet for flere måneder siden. Hvem kunne støves op af de gamle vocal linere, hvad skulle vi finde på af skøre indslag og hvordan mon det hele skulle forløbe?

Kl 9.30 ankom de første festlige X-linere med store smil på læberne. Derefter husker jeg den næste time som et stort KRAM! Gensynets KRAM. De gamle vocal linere havde glædet sig helt vildt til gensynsdagen og kom kørende fra nær og fjern for at være med. I alt var vi ca. 90 nuværende og tidligere vocal linere.  

Vi startede dagen ud med en lækker brunch, ved lange pyntede borde. (Godt, at vi havde hyret en kok til dagen så vi i festudvalget ikke skulle stå for den opgave!). Efter spisningen skulle vores alle sammens ”far” indstudere og dirigere 90 glade sangere, der sad på deres ”gamle” pladser i vant øveopstilling. Jeg troede, at det ville klinge mærkeligt, MEN der tog jeg fejl. Sjældent har jeg hørt og følt en mere ensartet klang. Det var Vocal Line, bare mere end dobbelt så stort. WOW. Og som en slags flødeskum, fik jeg (igen) lov til at synge ”Bästa Vänner”. Jeg tror, mit smil var stort. Jeg mindedes alle de konkurrencer vi har vundet, de kæmpestore scener i over hele verden, som vi har sunget på, og ikke mindst de vilde japanere og autograferne. Jo, det VAR bedre end en børnefødselsdag. Men det var jo ikke slut.

Vi havde skaffet en MEGA bus, der om eftermiddagen transporterede ALLE 90 mand ind til Bruuns galleri for at lave flash mob, med et af de numre, vi netop havde indstuderet. Først i sidste øjeblik afslørede vi for de ’gamle’, at det var det, der skulle ske. Vi fordelte os rundt omkring på de forskellige etager i Bruuns. En lille kvintet startede på VIVA LA VIDA og resten dukkede op og sang med. Tænk at se syngende Vocal Linere komme ud af butikker, og op af rulletrapper, for så at samles om et lille anlæg og synge mere! Fantastisk. Ydermere gjorde vi det ikke kun, fordi det lød fantastisk (men det synes jeg bestemt, at det gjorde!). Nej, den gode undskyldning var også at samle penge ind til Danmarks Indsamlingen (i min datters kasket, som var den bedste ”indsamlingsbøsse”, vi kunne opdrive). Det var med smil i hjertet, jeg sang ”Bästa Vänner” for tre etagers lidt forvirrede lørdags-shoppere.

Busture har vi af gode grunde haft mange af i gennem årenes løb med Vocal line.

Nogle hvor vi bare har sovet op igennem Europa, mange med øvning, og en enkelt med et ventilations anlæg der var i stykker (vi må have lugtet helt op på scenen til TAKE6). Næsten alle busture inkluderer en bus-fest og det skulle selvfølgelig også integreres i denne dag. På vej tilbage til festlokalet fik vi derfor en velfortjent dåseøl og Kristoffer greb bus-mikrofonen og lavede en særlig jubilæumsudgave af det for de nuværende vocallinere så velkendte ”radioprogram” ”Son of Love”, hvor ”lytterne” bliver inddraget og har mulighed for at sende en SMS, hvis de ønsker et godt råd om fx deres kærlighedsproblemer.

Resten af eftermiddagen gik med kaffe og kage, og snak om ”gamle” dage. Opfriskning af makeuppen og så til bords. Fru Johansen havde lavet en velorganiseret, roterende bordplan, så vi skiftede bord mellem hver ret og fik minglet en masse. Fed ide, og tak fra mig og festudvalget til Fruen for at holde et sådant overblik.

Under middagen var der masser af indslag i form af sjove taler, formandsberetninger, gaver der skulle gives og tårer der skulle skåles væk. Jens havde nærmest lavet en hel dokumentar film om Vocal Lines 20-årige historie, der på mindeværdig vis illustrerede korets udvikling lige fra de første år og til dagen i dag. SMUKT og givende.

Efter middagen stod den på jamsession/åben scene. Martin Krøger havde selvfølgelig sin ”ballebibel” med, så jamsessionen var sikret et godt grundlag. Vocal Line består heldigvis ikke kun af sangere, men er også fyldt med dygtige trommeslagere, pianister og andre instrumentalister, hvilket sikrer en fed, dansevenlige jam, som alle sangerne så kan synge mangestemmigt  kor på.

Efter denne her fødselsdag var jeg træt, og nærmest lykkelig.
